Amy Sehestedt Gunnys step - daughter

Amy is Diane Williams's second daughter.  She came out on a Saturday last fall to help with match registration - got a little instruction from Charlie Horn, proceeded to clean the Texas star, and has been hooked ever since.
Amy shoots a Smith & Wesson 9mm Goloski edition in competition, and packs a Ruger LCP.  She is often seen at the range with Josh Heino.

Carter Reed - instruction staff

I'm new to Camp Williams but have been shooting with Cam for many years.  I recently retired as a Geologist with after 31 years in the trenches.  With more leisure time, I got back into action shooting last year after a twelve-year hiatus when we formed the Castle Action Shooting League (CASL).

I originally started shooting competitively in 1990 when I joined the USPSA/IPSC.  I became a Certified USPSA Range Officer and ran sanctioned IPSC matches in Price for over five years as the USPSA Liaison Officer and occasional Range Master.  I practiced a lot and studied the shooting techniques of the top competition/tactical shooters.  In the mid and late 90s this paid off and I started placing near the top in local and out of state matches.  I shot in matches with the FBI, Border Patrol, U.S. Army, and other law enforcement agencies as well as with some of the top competitive shooters in the country.  This was often a humbling experience but helped me become a better shooter.  In 1995 I took 2nd place in the Colorado Goforit Steel Match.  In 1996 I won the Southern Utah Pistol and Revolver Championship (Dixie Cup).  In 1997 I won the Utah State IPSC Championship, placed 8th overall in the Rocky Mountain Stock Gun Championship, and placed 2nd in the Las Vegas IPSC Combat Handgun Match.
I shot some matches early in the 1998 season but all of a sudden shooting became more like work and less like fun.  I intended to lay-off for just the rest of the season but found myself pursuing other interests.

My current favorite leisure activity is touring the west with my wife, Georgene, on our Harley.

Jackson Nichols Esq.

Jackson:  Jackson first attended Camp Williams in 2010.  He became interested in hunting several years ago, has his blue card, and has hunted  on friends' private property in Missouri for 3 years, where he has one-shot-killed a buck each year.  He is quite proficient with his Remington 700 SPS .308 Win., Kimber 1911,  mini-30 and mini-14, and the family's Bushmaster AR15.  He is extremely talented at trap shooting with a shotgun!     He is looking forward to his first class (270) at Gunsite Academy this summer.

Suzanne Nichols

Suzanne:    I first attended Camp Williams in 2010.  I became interested in personal handgun defense in the early 1990s.  I  attended Chapman Academy in Missouri, using a Glock 9 mm and have since attended courses at Gunsite Academy and Thunder Ranch, as well as the Urban Warfare Center in Salt Lake City.  I currently shoot a Smith & Wesson M & P 9 mm, and a Springfield Armory XD 9 mm.  I am looking forward to a private tutorial at Gunsite this summer where I  will be hopefully become quite proficient with the Bushmaster AR15.   I did beat my husband at the Texas Star last year (the only time I will  ever outperform him with a weapon!).
